WHO WE ARE
Alphagen is a website dedicated to the dissemination and education of information regarding genetic diseases which aims to educate and help people suffering from these diseases as well as to aid students in learning about these conditions. The site is tirelessly and lovingly made and maintained by the BS Biology students of University of St. La Salle-Bacolod. This site is more than a grade requirement but a legacy that future batches will inherit, add, update, and maintain in order to continue providing accurate and useful information regarding genetic illnesses. Furthermore, the students behind this project would like to give recognition to the brilliant minds behind our institution who continue to shape our futures through their dedication and hard work of giving us quality education.

At Alphagen, we take credibility and fact-checking seriously, verifying sources many times over to secure insightful information for the audience without risking accuracy. We are committed to maintaining academic integrity by providing proper references of data presented, as well as links to other sites for more in-depth and added information about a particular disease.
Big Plans
We are planning big things. Alphagen aims to continuously add new data to our ever-growing list of information. Since the site will be passed down from batch to batch, we know that new diseases, updates, and whole new sections of the website will be developed and become available as we work to improve the site to help others in need.
